    Drive to the freshwater Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley. Afternoon boat ride gliding past pods of yawning hippos while African fish eagles swoop overhead. Visit Crescent Island — walk freely among zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, and gazelle with no fences. Return to your lakeside lodge for dinner as the sun sets over the Rift Valley escarpment.

    Drive to the Masai Mara. Arrive by lunchtime and check into your premium lodge with sweeping savannah views.
